An eye exam
A free exam at the store, booked online. If an ophthalmologist has already prescribed myopia-control lenses — bring the prescription.
A frame that fits
A kids' frame should sit, not slide: we'll pick one light and sturdy, sized to the face. The frame's price group sets the tariff.
Lenses for the task
Base 1.50 lenses are already in the tariff. For school, sports and the yard — impact-resistant polycarbonate as an upgrade. For progressing myopia — myopia-control lenses by a doctor's prescription.
Assembly and pick-up
We assemble the glasses and adjust the fit at hand-over in the store. Complete glasses carry a 6-month warranty.

Myopia control: when short-sightedness keeps growing
Regular glasses correct vision but don't affect how fast myopia progresses. Myopia-control lenses are built differently: special optical zones slow the growth of myopia while the child grows. In the catalogue — Hoya MiYOSMART (in stock in Almaty), MyoFocus (made in 10 working days) and Essilor Stellest (made to order). According to Essilor's clinical research, Stellest slows myopia progression by up to 67% with 12+ hours of daily wear. Fitting — only by an ophthalmologist's prescription.

A kid's frame takes a beating every day, so the base recommendation for active children is polycarbonate: 10× stronger than standard lenses and noticeably lighter. Not an upgrade for its own sake — insurance against chips and shards where glasses live a real life.

Parents' questions
One price, three tariffs: NEGIZGI — ₸9,900 (frame up to ₸12,000), KÚNDELIKTI — ₸15,900, ÚZDIK — ₸29,900. Each includes the frame, base 1.50 lenses, a case, an eye exam, the optician's work and a 6-month warranty. Polycarbonate and other upgrades — as an add-on: the pair's price minus the ₸4,000 base lenses.
Common signs: squinting, sitting close to screens, leaning low over notebooks, complaining about not seeing the board, rubbing eyes by evening. But signs aren't a diagnosis — only an eye exam gives the real answer. At ALIV stores it's free, booked online.
Spectacle lenses with special optical zones that slow the progression of myopia in a growing child. In the catalogue — MiYOSMART with D.I.M.S. technology (Hoya), MyoFocus and Essilor Stellest. They look like regular glasses. An ophthalmologist prescribes them after an exam.
According to Essilor's clinical research, Stellest lenses slow myopia progression by up to 67% with 12+ hours of daily wear; the effectiveness of MiYOSMART's D.I.M.S. technology is confirmed in Hoya's clinical publications. Results are individual and wearing time is critical — which is why an ophthalmologist fits and monitors them.
Polycarbonate: 10× stronger than standard lenses and lighter — base insurance for clubs, breaks and the yard. In the catalogue from Divel Italia and Starvision, added to any tariff as an upgrade.
Yes: MiYOSMART Chameleon (photochromic — darkens in the sun) and MiYOSMART Sunbird (a sunglass version), and Essilor's Stellest in a sun version. No second pair needed — control keeps working outdoors.
Six months, like all ALIV complete glasses: manufacturing defects of frame and lenses, the optician's work — one term, no small print.
